General Chet "Bulldog" Fuller, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, struggles
with President Ryan "Mac" MacDuff to stop security leaks and deploy
a
missile defense system. Meanwhile, MacDuff's cohort, computer
magnate Bill Redding, secretly plants a virus inside his supercomputers
to profit from the sale of new replacement chips. Some infected systems
are contraband missile control units in the hands of China, Russia
and Middle East warlords. A nuclear disaster hangs in the balance.
Scandal, espionage, assassinations and the computer virus are pivotal
to U.S. bound missiles being accidentally launched by China. Flustered
by political disgrace and sheer madness, MacDuff retaliates by firing
a barrage of nuclear warheads at China. Beijing rallies to strike back,
but masses of Chinese people fill the streets with the message, "Enough
is enough." General Fuller takes control and convinces the Chinese government
to abdicate. But the lingering threat of a nuclear holocaust remains
a haunting reality.
